I have performed over 40 shops for one company this past year. The last one was an apartment shop for which they were paying $25, which is lower than most. I had a terrible time with their report; I lost it three times and made three long distance calls to the company on my own nickel. Ultimately, I had to give it to one of their schedulers in order to get it input.

When pay day came, they only credited me with $12 because “You had to have one of our employees input it for you.” Can I do anything about this? Incidentally, I have not performed a shop for this company since.

This is the company that is still offering $4 for a shop. Are they not aware of gas prices??????

    Thanks for your input.

    Good Morning
I have a question on how to get assigned a visit after you apply for it without making the scheduler upset about inquiring about the visit. Example: I have applied for some visits that are due today. It is getting late in the day, I have other visits to make and I need to get started. The shop log still says that the visit is pending. Also, if I am not going to be assigned these visits, I need to do other visits. Yesterday, I waited all day to see if I was going to be assigned some visits, and at about 4 PM I noticed that all of the visits had been removed from the log. These visits were due the same day. In other words, I wasted a day waiting to see if I was going to be assigned. I want to stay positive, and I really enjoy Mystery Shopping. Is there any way to contact the scheduler to find out information, without making them upset? Thank you for all your help. You have given me lots of good information.

    Jeanene,

having a close relationship with the scheduler can be very beneficial to you in this kind of situation. What you can do is contact them and tell them you are willing to take shops at the last minute. Often, they will call you personally and ask you to take such shops.

    Hope that helps.
