If you’ve ever done any mystery shopping, you’ve probably noticed how many chains get mystery shopped. In fact, one of the ubiquitous companies is Mcdonald’s. For many mystery shoppers, this is one of the standard assignments, available nearly anywhere in the country.
What does it usually involve? Measuring the amount of time it takes to get your food, the cleanliness of the store, the friendliness of the customer service. Mystery shopping for McDonald’s is just like most fast food assignments.
Because of non-disclosure agreements, I can’t tell you which company has McDonalds assignments. And even if I could tell you, the answer varies depending on the country, the region, etc. However, I can direct you to some of the bigger companies that are likely to have what you’re looking for. Such as Market Force, Corporate Research, or Gapbuster.
Quite a number of people ask me if Gapbuster has lost their contract with Mcdonalds. The answer I can give you, is that I don’t know. This is for several reasons. First, I don’t do any shopping for Gapbuster. Second, even if they did lose their contract, they could get it back at any time. Third, they might have assignments in one part of the world, but not another. It very well could be that they shop for McDonalds in Australia, but not the United States. The trick is to apply to all the likely companies. Contracts change hands quite often in the mystery shopping industry, the way to keep up is to work for more than one company.
Each of these companies are legitimate companies, with real assignments. Keep in mind that real companies never require you to pay them anything in order to sign up. In addition, if you ever get a large check in the mail, it is fake! Just knowing these two things makes it very easy to avoid scams, and find real assignments.
